Why innovation communities are going to shake up organizational creativity

“We believe in Talent and how to activate it through Intrapreneurship projects. We have created a community of Female Talent in the Technological sector, open to sharing with other communities and with external Talent to enrich the community and help our projects to grow”.
Eva Roca Responsible for Talent at Schneider Electric
That statement came to me while working hand in hand with a company, which in addition to prioritizing the innovation of its management model and focusing more every day on the customer, knows that talent comes from open models: what was once called Open Innovation. That concept has now evolved towards the idea of uniting communities with shared interests, particularly those communities that are committed to positively impacting the environment and society. It is no longer just about having a good EBITDA. It’s about maintaining a culture of innovation that helps us to achieve more.
2020 is going to be a year that we will remember historically for many reasons, but one of them is going to be the growing importance of Communities to innovate and integrate new Collective Intelligence models that bring us closer to more open, creative and multidisciplinary ways of working.
The current circumstances demand a new way of working and behaving. The environments we considered to be ‘the Future of Work’ are now very much our present. Some organizations had been considering digitizing and relocating their teams by 2025, and suddenly, within only 3 months, they are being forced to create these new work models right now. For this reason, new job profiles have been gaining importance. Jobs like the Community Builder, which is essentially a unifying role that seeks synergies among the members of a community alongside the attraction of external talent; much more than a vision of marketing, customer or public relations, this role is as a creator of shared values and unity, which defends deep values of belonging.
Innovation Communities will shake up Corporate Creativity
Cross-community Innovation will shake up the creativity of organizations. We are going to see how combined community models providing innovation through their collective intelligence will become increasingly important in an environment where technological tools like TeamEQ will play a leading role. These are combined factors that unite the concept of community and collaborative innovation, accelerating processes of transformation and adaptation to changing and volatile environments.
